Samples of the candidate formulations stored in ICH stability cabinets are typically assayed by HPLC as part of the formulation process. Our team can transfer your analytical methods to our laboratories, or can fully develop HPLC methods if they do not exist. We can also validate HPLC methods to ICH standards. Evotec can also determine the relevant physicochemical properties of candidate drugs. A pre-formulation assessment plan would be tailored to your requirements. Pre-formulation helps the subsequent formulation development and the development of analytical techniques for the drug in terms of solubility versus pH; solubility in selected vehicles; pKa, Log P and Log D determination; and DSC & TGA - thermal characteristics.
